Well, this is one of the few books that really changes your view of society and challenges your assumptions and thinking. After reading this, you'll probably never see a documentary on TV in the same manner again.

Yes, it is huge, the writing isn't exactly free-flowing, the book is sprinkled with footnotes and references (usually several per page, don't miss to read at least the footnotes), and it takes a long time to read. But this is a book you can read 3-4 pages at a times, as there is always something interesting to ponder (don't be surprised if you get interested enough to read a lot more each time).

There has of course been raised a number of critical voices over this book, but whatever you have for preconceptions or what you think about the authors conclusions, I believe this is one of the rare books that get you to think actively and challenges you, which is very rare today.

Oh, and you don't have to be highly educated to read it (even if it helps), as most people would understand the thinking being presented.

Highly recommended (should be on everyones Must Read list).
