Well, I am a devout Mintzberg fan, and I really would like this book to be as good as some of his other books, but it leaves me pretty cold.
It is my belief, that this book would have been more interesting 20 years ago, but today there exists better books on the art of managing
Even if no-one can call this book bad, it is not up to the usual Mintzberg standards. So if you're looking for a gripping read with a revelation from time to time, you're out of luck. What you get is a discussion on the art of managing and some reflections of his, based on 29 days following a number of managers/leaders.
If you want a complete Mintzberg library, buy it, but don't expect too much.
