In 1996, John P. Kotter's Leading Change outlined an eight-step program for organizational change that was embraced worldwide. Next, Kotter and co-author Dan S. Cohen introduced the revolutionary "see-feel-change" approach, which helped executives understand the crucial role of emotion in successful change efforts.
Now, The Heart of Change Field Guide provides leaders and managers tools, frameworks, and advice for bringing these breakthrough change methods to life within their own organizations. Written by Dan S. Cohen and with a foreword by John P. Kotter, the guide provides a practical framework for implementing each step in the change process.
Filled with Practical tools, checklists, and expert commentary, this must-have guide illustrates — in concrete, actionable steps — the most powerful approaches available to you and your organization for creating successful change.
It is seldom I give a workbook high ratings, but this is a well-deserved exception. Good checklists, with explanations that follow a logical and well thought out process (some of it of course due to Kotter's' book Leading Change which this should be read after, or you'll miss some details).
Anyway, if you're into change management (and who isn't?), you should definitely both buy this book, read it, and start using it!
