Mike Schultz

Mike Schultz is the Founder and past President of RAIN Group, and the author of several books, including bestseller Rainmaking Conversations (2011), Insight Selling (2014), Virtual Selling: How to Build Relationships, Differentiate, and Win Sales Remotely (2020), and Not Today: The 9 Habits of Extreme Productivity (2021).

As President of RAIN Group, Mike grew the firm into a global leader, named one of the Top Sales Training Companies by Selling Power and Training Industry. Superior client results earned RAIN Group a Brandon Hall Award for Best Unique or Innovative Sales Training Program, and Gold Stevie Awards for Sales Training Practice of the Year, Sales Training Program of the Year, Research Report of the Year, and Sales Training Professional of the Year.

Mike and the team at RAIN Group have worked with national and international organizations such as Toyota, Citibank, Canon, Bright Horizons, BDO, Hitachi, Lee Hecht Harrison, Hologic, Optus, and hundreds of others to unleash sales performance.

As former Director of the RAIN Group Center for Sales Research, Mike and his analysts studied buying and selling relentlessly. He has often appeared on top-ranked radio, TV, and podcast programs to discuss various sales topics and research findings.

The American Heart Association (AHA) of Central Massachusetts honored Mike with the Heart of Gold Award. He is passionate about raising awareness about congenital heart defects (CHD).

Mike is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, MA with a B.A. in American Studies, and holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Mike is currently on the faculty teaching sales at the Brandeis International Business School. Mike also enjoys fly fishing and golf, and actively studies and teaches the traditional martial arts of Seirenkai Karate and Jujitsu, holding the ranks of third degree black belt and Sensei. He lives on a lake west of Boston.
