Jelmer R. Vernooij is a software engineer based in London, but originally from the Netherlands. In the last couple of years he has mostly focused on version control, software distribution and networking (L3 and up).
Today he works as Principal Site Reliability Engineer at Cognite. Before that he was a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Google in London,working mainly on the authoritative DNS servers and other kinds of frontend infrastructure, and before that he was working at Canonical Ltd., on Launchpad, Ubuntu, Bazaar and various cloud-related projects.
He is also an active member of the Samba Team, a loose-knit group of approximately thirty people who contribute regularly to Samba.
