Jan Erik Gillberg (born in 1935), is a Swedish publisher and editor of the journal DSM (Debatt, Sanningssökande, Mediakritik). Gillberg received a BA in economics, political science, economic history, practical philosophy and psychology from the University of Stockholm.
He has been chairman of the Right-wing youth district in Stockholm, and speech and physical printer to the right-wing party. In the parliamentary election in 1964, Gillberg put forward a candidature with a specific list of right-wingers and got 13 000 votes, missing to win a seat with 130 votes. January Gillberg in 1968 coined the concept of the "media left" in a public meeting in Stockholm Concert Hall.
Gillberg is a formerly President of the Swedish Marketing Federation, Secretary of the Industrial Research Institute (IUI), Secretary of the Parliamentary banco-committee, initiator of the "Investigation Bureau ", which later became Timbro, the initiator and founder of the Swedish Shareholders' Association (SARFA), the initiator and founder of advertising airline Aero Marketing AB, publisher of the magazine Origo in which several well-known Swedish writers and politicians, including Per Ahlmark, writes on a regular basis.
