Gerry Johnson

Gerry Johnson BA, PhD. Gerry is professor of strategic management at Cranfield School of Management. After graduating from University College, London, he worked for several years in management positions in Unilever and Reed International before becoming a management consultant. He has also taught at Aston University Management Centre, where he obtained his PhD, and Manchester Business School. He took up his appointment at Cranfield in 1988. Professor Johnson is author of numerous books and papers on strategic managementand is a member of the editorial board of the Strategic Management Journal. His research work is primarily concerned with processes of strategy development and change in organisations. He has also worked extensively as a consultant at a senior level on issues of strategic formulation and strategic change with many UK and international firms.
