Gail C. Anderson

Ms. Anderson is a founding member and Director of Research at Anderson Software Group, Inc. She earned her BA from UCSD and her masters in Linguistics from San Diego State University. She is a software specialist in UNIX, C, C++, Object-Oriented Design, and Java. She has developed numerous course materials for Anderson Software, including Use Cases, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) notation, and Design Patterns, applying this technology to applications targeted for C++ and Java.

As a consultant, Ms. Anderson has taught UNIX, C, and C++ courses for UCSD Extension and has contributed articles to Unix World magazine. She is co-author of four textbooks: Enterprise JavaBeans Component Architecture: Designing and Coding Enterprise Applications (Prentice Hall), The UNIX C Shell Field Guide (Prentice Hall), Advanced C: Tips and Techniques (Hayden Publishing), and Navigating C++ and Object-Oriented Design (Prentice Hall). As Director of Research at Anderson Software Group, she is responsible for bringing new course materials such as OOD, Design Patterns, and distributed computing technologies into the company.
