He was formerly a principal consultant and Director of Business Training at Arthur Young, now Ernst & Young. He led the promotional programmes for Marlboro cigarettes in Europe during a period of rapid growth, and was Head of Manufacturing at a 4,000-employee factory, where he drove a 30 per cent improvement in operational efficiency in less than two years. He has worked in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
