C. Gopinath is a professor and dean of the Jindal Global Business School, Sonipat, Haryana (Delhi NCR). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (USA); has a post-graduate diploma in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (India); and a master’s degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi (India). Before joining the Jindal Global University, he served on the faculty of Suffolk University, Boston; University of Delaware, Newark; and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to his academic career, he held executive positions in leading organizations in India.
His research, teaching, and consulting are in the areas of strategic management and international business, and currently focused on globalization, indigenous management, strategic alliances, and pedagogy. His work has been published in several leading journals, including the Journal of Management, Organization, Long Range Planning, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Strategy, Journal of Management Education, Journal of International Business Studies, and Management International Review. His books include: Strategize! Experiential exercises in strategic management (with J. Siciliano), 4ed., (Cengage, 2013); Globalization: A multidimensional system, 2ed. (McGraw Hill, 2014); and Managing in a Globalized World (ICFAI Press, 2003). A regular columnist for the business daily, Business Line, he writes fortnightly on current issues in business.
