Amrit Tiwana

Professor Tiwana received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in information systems from Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business. His research focuses on the knowledge integration and information systems management. His dissertation work built a predictive model for e-business project execution success in dynamic e-business networks.

Before joining Goizueta Business School, he has taught information systems at the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. His work has involved several U.S. and international businesses including United Parcel Service, Asea Brown Boveri, Omega Networks, Genesis Technologies, Family Care Communications LLC, and the U.S. Department of Defense. His most recent books include The Knowledge Management Toolkit (Prentice Hall 1999, 2002) and Knowledge Management: E-Business and Customer Relationship Management Applications (Prentice Hall, 2001). The latter has been translated into French, Chinese, and Portuguese.

Before beginning work in IS, he was involved in semiconductor applications design in the semiconductors industry. Some of his 137 pieces on microelectronics design published from 1989-1996 have been translated into French, German, and Spanish. In 2000, he was elected to the Phi Beta Delta National Honor Society for demonstrated scholarly achievement. He is a member of Academy of Management, Association for Information Systems, and Academy of Computing Machinery.
